COMINGS AND GOINGS
Newcomers to the territory this month are babyfaces Tom Jones and Jay Clayton and heels Scandor Akbar and Ron Starr.
Tom Jones came in from Florida. Both Clayton and Akbar came here from Georgia. Starr had been on a tour for New Japan; prior to that, he was wrestling in Florida.
Leaving the territory during the month were babyfaces Greg Valentine, Gorgeous George Jr, Jack Curtis Jr and John Gagne and heel Scandor Akbar.
Valentine went to Georgia while Gorgeous George Jr went to Gulf Coast. After just a few weeks here, Akbar goes to the WWWF.
Other wrestlers not listed in the SPOT Ratings: Bill Ash, Hiro Matsuda and Sir Oliver Humperdink.
Matsuda had been wrestling in Mexico, then came here for a week before going to Florida. Humperdink was managing Buddy Roberts & Jerry Brown but got in the ring a few times this month.

WHO'S HOT AND WHO'S NOT
Hot: Babyface Grizzly Smith and heels Waldo Von Erich and Ken Patera.
Grizzly Smith moved up the cards during the month. Grizzly had three bouts against fellow babyface Bill Watts early in the month; these were billed as bounty matches with NWA World Heavyweight champion Terry Funk and brother Dory Funk Jr having put a bounty on Watts. Waldo Von Erich also feuded with Watts throughout April. Patera moved up the cards slowly but steadily, feuding with Dick Murdoch and facing Sonny King on several occasions.
Not: Babyfaces Sonny King and Bob Griffin and heel Bob Sweetan.
Sonny King's SPOT Rating peaked at a .84 in mid-February and since then he's been moved slowly down the cards. Both Griffin and Sweetan were regulars in the Louisiana towns throughout the month, but were positioned slightly lower on the cards than they had been in March.

Role Changes: Bob Slaughter and Buck Robley became a regular tag team. With babyface team Gorgeous George Jr & Greg Valentine leaving, they booked a heel vs heel program with Slaughter & Robley taking on Buddy Roberts & Jerry Brown.
Title Changes: Slaughter & Robley defeated Roberts & Brown to win the US Tag Team titles on March 29th in Tulsa.
