Year-End Rankings

Updated on 8/9/21 with rankings for 1964!

As we “chart” the McGuirk/Watts territory over various years, I have developed a way of calculating year-end rankings for each year. For now, these rankings will list the Top 12 wrestlers (the Dirty Dozen) and the Top 5 feuds (the Feudin’ Five) in the territory for each year, though I may change those numbers if it is warranted.

When we finish covering a particular calendar year on the blog, I will add it to this running list. Details on how these are calculated can be found at the bottom of this post.

Notes: These are calculated by taking the weekly SPOT Ratings and Frequent Opponents Scores and assigning point values for every week those numbers are above various thresholds. This way it takes into account not only having a high score in any given week, but also maintaining that level for a long period of time.
